The Best Places to Grab a Drink in Melbourne
There is a certain pace and vibe in Melbourne that just does something with you. Not a day goes by without wanting to do something fun and social. Luckily, the big city offers a lot of cool bars where you can gather your friends.
These are some of my favorite places to grab a drink i Melbourne.
People usually save the best for last, but this bar is so cool I just can’t wait to tell you about it. Boston Sub is a hidden bar - a speakeasy of sort - hidden in the freezer of a gourmet sub shop. If that isn’t enough for you, they have the prettiest and tastiest drinks! The interior is also one of a kind, and the service is really good. Just ask to get on the list to bar in the shop, and grab a beer while you wait.
Naked for Satan
The rooftop at Naked for Satan is called Naked in the Sky. The place provide the best view of the Melbourne skyline. In addition, they have amazing finger food and great drinks. If you want a snack in addition to your drink, you have to try the crumbed eggplant with honey and blue cheese or the cheese platter. Ps: Don’t order the mojito.
Garden State Hotel
Garden State Hotel is a nice place to go for a beer or a glass of wine, I’m not sure about the cocktails. The location reminds you of a beer garden, but is a bit more classy than it sounds. You have a great spot in the middle of the room, where you can sit among plants and trees. A good place for a mid-day drink, or if you want to dance at night.
Peaches is a really “instagramfriendly” bar and rooftop bar. The interior fits the name - with peachy colors, green details and plants, and suede booths with gold edging. The rooftop is more minimalistic, with white, wood and green plants. The drinks at this place is gorgeous! Have a burger and some fries, and take a picture like a real influencer.
The Rooftop at QT Hotel
The Rooftop at QT offers a front row seat to the sunset. This is a split indoor-outdoor bar on the 11th floor, and you have to be let up by the doorman in the reception. Dress properly, because this place has a dress code. You’ll find sandwiches, flatbreads and finger foods on the menu, in addition to cocktails, wines and beers.
Arbory Afloat is a floating bar on the river, that’s unfortunately only open during summer. This is the place to go for day drinking in the sun. It’s usually really crowded, but the music is good, and you can sit by a table or in sofas. This is the ultimate place to drink and laze with friends.
